Leather is making a come back in interior design circles. Not always the most obvious of materials to decorate with, it is perhaps more versatile than you might think and available in a wide variety of colours and finishes. Here is a list of ten ways to use leather, some of which may be a bit of a surprise…

 

  1. Leather bed frames. These have been around for a while and remain very popular: leather headboards or a complete leather sleigh bed, whatever your preference.

  3. Leather . Yes, you can ‘wall paper’ with leather. Used sparingly it can look stunning, particularly on a curved surface.
  4. Leather flooring. Leather floor tiles are much warmer underfoot than their ceramic or stone counterparts. Treat with care as they will mark easily – shoes off an absolute must.

  10. Leather loudness. Completely tasteless in some circles but a dash of seventies disco fever might just turn freak into chic! Leather drapes at the window or animal throws on the circular bed – go for it.
